Part of our farm is open to the public as a Botanical Garden. The 10 acres are home to some of our most important fruit and ornamental trees. We have a stunning collection of over 150 different species of fruit, nut and spice trees, plus diverse collections of tropical palms, heliconias, bromiliads and rare tropical species. Walk through the forest and enjoy the abundance of bird, animal and insect life - you would never know you were walking through a farm. Our pure environment and our natural farming means that this is one of the best places in Costa Rica to see poison dart frogs.
We offer self guided tours of the garden, with guide booklets in Spanish, English, German, French, and Dutch. Entrance for self guide tours cost $6. Our booklets offer comprehensive information and are yours to keep for $1. Guided tours can be arranged for a minimum of 3 people (or $30).
We offer plant classes and walks throughout the year, please contact us for dates.
After your self guided walk return for a refreshing fruit juice drink at reception. Kiawe or Allan will be glad to share whichever fruits are in season. Hear about our farm and garden in more detail and sample our cacao and chocolate. This is a great time to ask questions about the farm or the area.
The Botanical Garden is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday throughout the year, from 10am to 4pm. Cost of admission is $6. Visitors usually spend 1 to 3 hours visiting the garden.
